Kyle Simms is a British writer, filmmaker and photographer based in Birmingham, UK. He graduated with a BA in Creative Writing with Film & Television Studies at the University of Derby. In 2022, he began working as a freelance photographer and videographer and joined the Sutton Coldfield Moviemakers, lending his camerawork on multiple filmmaking projects. His first independent short film as writer-director, The Vanishing Killer, was released in 2023. In 2025, he became the Director of Photography on the first episode and co-wrote subsequent episodes of the four-part sci-fi series Belief. His second short film, The Woods, is also in post-production releasing later in 2026.
